This man had a system.
Wait for the water.
Try to get there first.
Hope this time is different.
But for thirty-eight years, it never worked.
And if we’re honest, we have our own systems too. Work harder. Fix it ourselves. Optimize everything. Try again.
But eventually, you hit a moment where trying harder isn’t enough.
And that’s where Jesus steps in.
He doesn’t help the man compete better—He removes the system entirely.
Because real transformation doesn’t come from effort.
It comes from encountering Him.
🙏 Father, help me stop relying on systems that can’t change me. Teach me to trust Your voice instead. Amen.
