“The places where you’ve stopped expecting change may be the very places Jesus begins.”
Some struggles don’t last weeks—they last years. Long enough that hope doesn’t disappear all at once… it slowly fades. You stop asking if things will change. You stop expecting anything different.
That’s where Jesus meets this man.
Not at the beginning of the problem—but after thirty-eight years of waiting.
And maybe that’s where He meets you too.
Not when everything is still hopeful. But in the place where you’ve quietly started believing, “This is just how it will always be.”
But Jesus is not limited by how long something has existed. What feels permanent to you is not permanent to Him
