Today’s 1 Minute Daily Devotional:
“My food is to do the will of Him who sent me and to accomplish His work.” — John 4:34
The disciples were worried about lunch. Jesus was thinking about redemption.
They saw hunger as physical.
Jesus saw hunger as purpose.
We all run on something — productivity, approval, comfort, distraction. But temporary fuel never truly satisfies. Jesus says what sustains Him is doing the Father’s will.
Not because obedience is impressive.
Because alignment is life-giving.
There is a kind of strength that comes when you stop living on applause or urgency and start living in step with God.
You were not designed to survive on comfort alone.
You were designed to be sustained by obedience.
🙏 Father, realign my appetite. Teach me to hunger for Your will more than comfort. Sustain me with what lasts. Amen.
