“Do not make my Father’s house a house of trade.” — John 2:16
The Temple wasn’t evil.
It was sacred.
But over time, what was meant to lead people to God started standing in the way.
So Jesus confronts it.
Not because He’s angry — but because He’s committed to access.
Committed to removing anything that blocks real encounter.
And He still does that today.
Even with good things.
Even with religious things.
Even with structures that once helped.
If something in your life feels disrupted right now, it may not be judgment.
It may be mercy.
Jesus doesn’t tear down to leave you empty.
He clears space to draw you closer.
🙏🏾 Lord, reveal anything I’ve allowed to stand between You and me — and give me grace to release it. Amen.
