“My God, my God, why have You forsaken Me?” — Matthew 27:46
Jesus didn’t whisper this.
He cried it.
The Son of God entered the same kind of pain you’ve felt —
the ache of praying and hearing nothing back.
But here’s what we miss:
This wasn’t the cry of someone who lost faith.
It was the cry of someone holding on.
“My God… my God…”
Even in anguish, He clung to the relationship.
You don’t honor God by pretending you’re okay.
You honor Him by being honest.
Your questions don’t scare Him.
Your cries don’t offend Him.
He took on silence so you would never face yours alone.
If Jesus can cry out in the dark…
so can you.
And when you do — heaven hears.
🙏 God, when I feel abandoned, help me cling to You like Jesus did. Meet me in the honest places. Amen.
