Today’s 1 Minute Daily Devotional: The Lamb Before the Throne
John 1:29
The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
John doesn’t introduce Jesus as a king or a miracle worker.
He says,
“Behold, the Lamb of God.”
Before power.
Before teaching.
Before glory.
Sacrifice.
Jesus didn’t come first to dominate —
He came to give Himself.
This changes how we see God.
And how we follow Him.
The Kingdom doesn’t move forward through force.
It moves forward through surrender.
And the One who saves the world does so by laying His life down.
🙏 Jesus, thank You for giving Yourself for me. Teach me to follow You in humility. Amen.
