Today’s 1 Minute Daily Devotional: Witness Is More Powerful Than Credentials
John 1:32-34
And John bore witness: “I saw the Spirit descend from heaven like a dove, and it remained on him. 33 I myself did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ 34 And I have seen and have borne witness that this is the Son of God.”
John doesn’t argue theology.
He doesn’t list qualifications.
He doesn’t defend his authority.
He simply says:
“I saw.”
“I witnessed.”
“I testify.”
Faith doesn’t spread through perfection.
It spreads through honesty.
You don’t need to know everything about Jesus
to point someone to Him.
You just need to tell the truth about what you’ve seen.
What He’s forgiven.
What He’s healed.
What He’s still changing.
God doesn’t advance His Kingdom
through the most impressive voices —
but through the most transformed ones.
🙏 God, give me courage to share honestly what You’ve done in my life. Amen.
