“This is the judgment…” — John 3:19
When we hear the word judgment, we think punishment.
Condemnation.
Rejection.
But Jesus says something unexpected.
Judgment isn’t something that only happens later.
It’s happening now — every time light shows up.
Not as condemnation.
But as exposure.
The dividing line isn’t between good people and bad people.
It’s between those who step into the light
and those who retreat from it.
Jesus doesn’t shame the darkness.
He reveals why we choose it.
Because light threatens what we protect —
control, reputation, certainty, the version of ourselves we manage.
And today, the question isn’t “Am I good enough?”
It’s simpler — and harder:
Am I willing to be seen?
🙏 Father, give me courage to step into the light — even when it costs me control. Amen.
