Immanuel doesn’t mean God above us.
It doesn’t mean God disappointed in us.
It means God with us.
Not after you fix everything.
Not once you feel worthy.
Right now.
Christmas is the declaration that God refuses to stay distant.
He comes close to fragile people in fragile places.
And if God is with you,
you are never alone — even when it feels like you are.
🙏 Father, help us live in the reality that you are with us in this very moment. In your name, Amen.
