What do you call the person who betrays you?
The night Jesus was arrested,
Judas didn’t come alone.
He brought a crowd — swords drawn, ready for a fight.
And Jesus looked him in the eyes and said:
“Friend, do what you came to do.” — Matthew 26:50
He called him friend.
Not betrayer.
Not enemy.
Friend.
Because love doesn’t label people by their worst moment.
Love always forgives.
It always trusts.
And it keeps no record of wrongs.
So what do you do when someone uses your trust against you?
When your name is being slandered?
When your kindness is being exploited?
Do you greet them with restraint — or revenge?
Do you still love… when it hurts?
Because this moment isn’t just about Judas.
It’s a mirror — held up to us.
Jesus didn’t just teach grace.
He embodied it — even in the hands of a traitor.
And now He turns to us and asks:
Will you also love the one who wounded you?

Prayer: Father, when I’m tempted to fight back, teach me to love like You — even when it hurts.
Amen.
