“The wind blows where it wishes…” — John 3:8
We like faith that feels predictable.
Structured. Explainable. Safe.
But Jesus compares life in the Spirit to the wind.
You can’t see where it comes from.
You can’t control where it goes.
You only know it’s real because of what it changes.
That’s unsettling — especially if you’re used to managing outcomes.
But unpredictable doesn’t mean unsafe.
The wind isn’t random.
It has direction — even when you can’t trace it.
And the evidence of the Spirit isn’t control.
It’s transformation.
If your walk with God feels less orderly than you hoped,
that may not be failure.
It may be movement.
🙏 Father, help me trust You even when I can’t control or predict where You’re leading. Teach me to follow Your movement, not my fear. Amen.
